The Owlery, the vegetarian restaurant I work at, will re-open at its new location in downtown Bloomington, Indiana at 118 W. 6th St. this Friday, April 20th, 2012.
Since mid-January, a group of various people, including myself, have converted the new space to its current condition.
Come eat food!

Ryan and I have a restaurant in Bloomington, Indiana.  We have been very fortunate to work with some amazing friends getting everything ready, and our finally (re-)opening this Friday.  Wish us luck and come visit if you can!!

“I usually don’t talk about stuff like this on my show but I really want to thank everyone who is supporting me. If you don’t know me very well. If you’re just watching maybe for the first time or you’re just getting to know me. I want to be clear. Here are the values I stand for. I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you’d want to be treated and helping those in need. To me, those are traditional values. That’s what I stand for. I also believe in dance.”

Ellen DeGeneres responding to the hate group that is pressuring JC Penney to fire DeGeneres from a spokesperson gig, saying the store will “lose customers with traditional values.”  (via jessicavalenti)

This is a show review from a band called Guitar Bomb. I have no idea who Guitar Bomb is but I do know what house he is talking about. This happened in 2006-2007. Pretty funny review from a total asshole. This was a strange house for sure, but was one of my favorite houses to play. Louisville, KY in 2006-2007 was an awesome place to show up on tour. So many positive kids.
Guitar Bomb, and a million other awful bands, are what makes DIY so hard to care about sometimes. People like that suck the life out of everything.
Also, what does “drank spacebag” mean?

A space bag is the plastic bag of wine inside boxed wine. Come on!
These kids are idiots.
